Slab beams

Slab beams

Beams are linear construction elements that mainly work in flexion and are usually supported on cantilevers or column heads. They are elements in which length predominates over the other two dimensions and their main function is to support the slab elements, such as hollow-core slabs.

Beams can be made from reinforced or pre-stressed concrete. They are usually pre-stressed concrete and rectangular in section. They can also have inverted T or L sections when less lifting is required.

The concrete used in their manufacture is HP-50 and the steel is type Y1860 S7. It is possible to manufacture them with other types of concrete and steel if the project so requires.
